Friday Sep 1:
Hi Players,
The schedule has now been posted for the remainder of the tournament. There are 5 or 6 matches still to schedule in the consolation of the following categories: WS35, MS70, and MS75. I can’t schedule those yet but they will be online later today.
A reminder that the Men’s and Women’s Open singles finals will be played tomorrow (Saturday). The women’s final will be played at 1pm followed by the men’s final.
We hope to see you all here for what will be two great matchups as well as finals in many other categories.
Wed Aug 30 – afternoon:
With the large volume of rain today, we are anticipating that we will need some time in the morning to prepare the courts at the Waegwoltic Club. Therefore, all matches scheduled from 8am up to and including 12:30pm will be played at the SATC. All matches from 1pm onwards will be played at the Waegwoltic Club.
As previously communicated, the Adult Player Party (Barbie theme) will be held at the Waegwoltic Club (by the tournament desk) from 7pm Thursday evening. Come along and enjoy some free food, adult beverages, and great tennis (Men’s and Women’s Open Semifinals).
Wed Aug 30 – morning:
For the remainder of the NS Open (10am-6pm) we will have a physio on site for emergent care and injury assessment. Feel free to use their services if required.
Due to the rain, the adult player party is postponed to tomorrow (Thursday Aug 31) 7pm at the Waeg. There will be complimentary food and adult drinks available while stocks last.
One final reminder that all matches scheduled for today (Wednesday Aug 30) will be played at the SATC. We will strive to put all clay court matches on the clay but in some situations we will need to utilize the hard courts in order to get through all the matches.

Tues Aug 29:
Given the rain in the forecast, all matches will be played at the SATC tomorrow (Wednesday Aug 30).
Sun Aug 27:
All matches will remain at the SATC for the rest of the day (Sunday Aug 27). We are planning on playing all matches tomorrow (Monday Aug 28) at the Waegwoltic Club.
Sat Aug 26:
Given the continued forecast of wet weather overnight, we are making the decision to start the day at the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre tomorrow (Sunday Aug 27). If we make the decision to move matches over to the Waegwoltic Club at any point, this will be communicated immediately – and with adequate notice – via email, TNS social media, and the updates link on the front page of the TNS website.
Fri Aug 25:
Given the current forecast, all Saturday (Aug 26) matches in the Nova Scotia Open will be played at the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre.
Since there are only 6 clay courts at SATC, some matches scheduled for clay courts will be played on the hard courts. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Wed Aug 23:
The Junior Beginner Categories will take place at the following times:
-Green Sunday Aug 27: 1-2:30pm
-Orange Sunday Aug 27: 2:30-4pm
-Red Sunday Aug 27: 4-5:30pm
We have had to adjust the draw formats in some categories. Therefore, there will be no doubles consolation matches in this year’s event. The Junior 3.5 Star event will be held entirely on hard courts, not clay as advertised on the fact sheet. In some adult categories there is a possibility that matches could be on a clay or hard court.
