New Streamlined Registration Process

To ensure a consistent and simplified process for all participants:

Once registration closes:

  • Only players who qualify for the event will remain in the draw.
  • Players who do not qualify will be removed from the draw, and their registration fee will be fully refunded.
  • No players will be accepted after the Sunday July 6th midnight registration deadline.
  • We strongly encourage all interested players to register early to avoid any issues with eligibility or technical difficulties near the deadline.

Doubles Registration

Doubles events will also be held at the 2025 Summer Atlantics for players who qualify to play in the tournament. To ensure all qualified players have an opportunity to secure a partner:

  • The doubles registration deadline will be Thursday, July 10th at noon. Doubles registration will be onsite at the tournament desk.
  • This allows time for players to connect with potential partners once the singles qualifying lists are finalized.

Qualification Process

The maximum draw size is 12 players per age group and gender. Qualification follows a combination of National Bank Rankings and Provincial Qualifying.

Top 8 Automatic Qualification:

  • The top 8 ranked players in Atlantic Canada, per age group and gender as of July 2, 2025, qualify automatically.
  • Please note that results from the Moncton Junior 4 Star ATA tournament, the final ATA 4 Star event of the summer, must be added to the National Bank Rankings before the July 2nd ranking list is finalized and qualifications are confirmed.
  • If a player within the top 8 did not register for Atlantics, the next highest ranked player who registered will qualify until all 8 spots are filled.
  • Players in the top 8 of their older (secondary) age group qualify for both events.
  • Players may choose to register and compete in both their primary age division and one age group higher, provided they qualify for both. However,
    • Players must be prepared to play up to three singles matches per day, as required by the tournament schedule.
    • Competing in both age groups is discouraged unless the player intends to participate in both corresponding National Championships, should they qualify.

4 Provincial Spots per Category

  • Each Provincial Tennis Association (NB, NS, PE, and NL) may select one additional player per age group and gender, providing up to 4 provincial spots per category.
  • NS, PE, and NL have decided to award their provincial spots to the highest ranked player from their respective province who registered for the Atlantics and didn’t qualify through the above “top 8 automatic qualification process”.
  • NB will hold a qualifying tournament to determine their provincial spots.
  • If a province does not use its allocated spot, it will be reallocated based on the National Bank Rankings (i.e., next highest ranked player who registered for the Atlantics).

Under 10 Qualification

  • Under 10 players who wish to compete in the Atlantics must also register online before the deadline.
  • Players in the Under 10 category will qualify based on their 2025 Point Totals, which include:
    • Results from the eight 4 Star ATA events of the 2025 calendar year.
    • Indoor Atlantics results.
  • The complete point structure for the U10 qualification is outlined in the 2025 ATA Outdoor Playing Operations document.
