The Peter Durdle Memorial Open Tennis tournament will begin Thursday evening and will be the first event held at the newly constructed courts on Eighth Street in New Waterford, just a few court lengths away from the longtime previous location. Thursday’s matches will feature several players of note with former Champions Chris Matthews, Harold Lowe and Robbie Kavanaugh all seeing action. The tournament will run all weekend men’s and women’s singles and doubles plus mixed doubles division with most Finals matches expected to be Saturday evening.
