Tennis Nova Scotia Reintroduces 5-Year Masters Singles Age Divisions

Effective immediately, Tennis Nova Scotia will reintroduce 5 year age divisions for all Masters singles events.

The primary purpose of this change is to create fairer competitive age windows for Masters players. By returning to 5 year age divisions, competitors will have more opportunities to play against athletes within a closer age range.

To ensure meaningful competition, Masters singles draws with fewer than four entrants may be combined with the next younger age division. This approach helps maintain viable draw sizes while continuing to prioritize fair competition whenever possible.

This updated structure takes effect immediately and will apply to all upcoming Tennis Nova Scotia Masters singles tournaments.

Tennis Nova Scotia appreciates the feedback received from the Masters community and remains committed to evaluating its competition structure to provide the best possible experience for players across the province.
