We had a great time last week (Oct 12-15) hosting the Birmingham Wheelchair Tennis Nationals at the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre. It was a special occasion as this event took place in Nova Scotia for the first time. We hope everyone had a pleasant stay in our province as we were delighted to have them here.

A special mention goes out to our talented athletes who represented our province with excellence: Vicki Morton, Denise Fitzgerald, Scott Lutes, Chris Calderwood-Lusk, and Steven Dunn.

Here are the notable results for our Nova Scotia athletes:

  • Vicki Morton: Secured the 3rd Place in Women’s Open Singles
  • Denise Fitzgerald: Achieved an admirable 4th Place in Women’s Open Singles
  • Vicki and Denise: Impressed us all with their 2nd Place win in Women’s Open Doubles.

We also extend our gratitude to Harding Medical and Sunrise Medical for their support during this event.
