Update – Friday April 30
Tennis Nova Scotia, in alignment with the new COVID19 restrictions issued by the Province on April 22, 2021, acknowledges that outdoor tennis play (singles and doubles) is permitted with appropriate social distancing. We also strongly advise our TNS member clubs that they provide for contact tracing. Players will need to abide by 6 feet social distancing regulations at all times and wear a mask to and from the tennis courts. Players should only play in the community they reside in. Gatherings are limited to a maximum of 5 people in any outdoor space.
Tennis Nova Scotia also advises that these restrictions eliminate any and all tennis instruction, including groups and private lessons across Nova Scotia. Tennis Nova Scotia plans to develop and put forward to the provincial authorities safe protocols for tennis instruction. This is to facilitate a safe return to tennis programming as soon as possible. We will keep the tennis community posted if and when any of the current restrictions are changed or lifted. In the meantime, we encourage the entire Nova Scotia tennis community to make every effort to be safe and to prevent the spread of COVID19 within the Province.
